Hi everyone,

We are finally connected by email!  Here are a few TIPS and DATES TO REMEMBER concerning JYM.

TIPS...

1. Carpool for Sunday nights if possible!
2. Dismissal will be 7:50 ...5th AND any older riders with that 5th grader, 7:55 ...6th AND any older riders with that 6th grader, 8:00 ...7th and 8th graders. ***Try to arrive in line as close to your child's dismissal time as possible...It works well if everyone cooperates.
3. ***IF you have SYM AND  JYM students to pick up together....tell your JYM students to go to the auxiliary gym and be picked up there with their SYM sibling. SYM does NOT do staggered dismissal and the least number of cars along the driveway is the best solution to an efficient dismissal!!!!  PLEASE TELL YOUR CHILD THESE DISMISSAL ARRANGEMENTS.   
4. REMINDER ...ENTER the BBC - Q of A from under the bridge and exit down at PA Ave. ALWAYS (driveway is ONE WAY from 5:45-8:10PM on Sundays )
5. If you are bringing your child after 6:15 drop them in the back parking lot at the "N" door (door next to auxiliary gym door).  They can go in this door and directly up the stairs to their classrooms.
6. REMINDER ...5th - Rm. 305, 6th - Rm. 304, 7th/8th - Rm. 308...Temporarily.  We may be splitting the classes starting in November...Watch for an updated email.
7. Snacks are coming in great...keep it up and don't worry if you miss a week!
8. We still could use help with GYM time, AIDES in the CLASSROOM, and SNACK.  Call or email Mary Blythe with your desire to help she has the schedule and what is needed when.
9. ANY CATHOLIC YOUTH (5th-8th) can still join us.  PLEASE tell them to contact their parish director of Religious Education for a registration form.
10. JYM schedules are posted along with other interesting information on the Greater Norwin Area Catholic Youth Ministry website. www.gnacyouth.org
11. Catholic Youth Bibles are in and available for $20.00 if you want your child to have their own copy.  Send cash or check (payable to St. Agnes Church) at the next class...there are a limited number left and the teachers are using them in their lessons weekly!  Send them with your child each week...Marked with their name!
12. We are averaging 130-150 kids a night...there are friends for everyone...join us!

UPCOMING DATES TO REMEMBER...

Sunday, October 26th ...Regular Class, snack and gym time.  *ADULTS...TEAM #4  will do snack and GYM time...see you all there! Do you have any suggestions for quiet games to be played in the auxiliary gym area now that it's finished?  Email Mrs. Blythe with ideas and we'll have them for you on Sunday.

Sunday, November 2nd ...NO CLASS

Wednesday, November 5th ...Bingo at Briarcliff 6:50-8:00PM (permission slip attached). ***This activity is NOT on the original JYM schedule BUT last month's Bingos were so well received that we are going again.  ***Once you call to register watch your email for a confirmation that you are on the list!  ***We are waiting to hear from Juniper Village about a date to go there in November too...I'll send an update when I hear from them!  THANKS FOR DOING THIS...THE RESIDENTS LOVE YOU GUYS!

Sunday, November 9th... Extra activity...Letter writing to Shut-ins and babies of the parishes...this is a great way to put our "Faith into Action" by reaching out to young families and our older parish members...Remember what St. James said, "Faith without works is dead!"
